Orange Shirt - Hand in Hand
Orange Shirt - Hand in Hand
In collaboration with Kel-c Jules, a Secwépemc artist and daughter of a residential school survivor, Islamic Relief Canada is selling Orange Shirts for the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
“This design depicts a small child's hand inside an adults’ hand, showing that there were children that never made it home. The children who did make it home are adults now, this is not history, this is living trauma and we need to recognize that.” - Kel-c Jules, Artist
- Printed on an orange crewneck long sleeve shirt
-
All shirts are in standard unisex sizing
All proceeds from orange shirt sales will be donated to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, an organization dedicated to providing physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual growth, development, and healing through culturally-based values and guiding principles for Survivors, Families, and Communities.
